36| THIRTY-SIX

Would you look at that? My 36th blog post is dedicated to my 36th birthday (take a sip/pull of something nice every time you read the word birthday). Let me remind you that I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in confirmations. Okay, now that that’s out of the way…

I want to express how thankful I am to be alive, to be here, to be healthy, to be a mom, to be someone’s love, to be everything that I am… On Birthdays I take time to think and pray for those that didn’t get to see theirs. It’s a blessing to get older, to live and breathe another year. Unsolicited advice? Shut out all of the outside noise that make you feel otherwise!

I will be bringing in my 36th birthday on 8/26. This birthday is at a time of my life where I will be doing work that needs to get done: learning/practicing mindfulness and learning more about managing anxiety/fear. I can’t put it off any longer. It’s the reason why my birthday will be different than what I had originally planned. I had plans y’all! But God said nope, this comes first.

I didn’t have a back up plan. And with the way I’ve been feeling (down, sad, grieving, anxiety, panic attacks) I didn’t want to do anything. But my friend Annie texted me and told me to get dressed and meet her at the Target parking lot at a certain time and date. Ashley our friend would be joining us. Sunday came and we met close to noon. I joined them both in Annie’s car and off we went. The drive was a little over an hour. It was a few townships away from us, towards Philadelphia.

When we arrived, this was the first thing that I see and had no idea where we were lol!

Annie and Ashley surprised me with a Brunch date at Terrain Cafe! I included the link in case you’d like to check it out. In the meantime let me keep sharing some of the outdoor views with you:

They are partnered with several local farms. Which means their ingredients are fresh, and their menu changes seasonally. We were there yesterday Sunday 8/21 and the menu reflects the things that grow and are harvested this time of the year.

We got the Avocado Toast, Brioche French Toast to share. I got the Grilled Cheese (it had apple slices inside which was a tasty addition) which came with a side of either salad or fries. I chose the plain fries (could’ve gotten them truffled) and to drink I chose the Strawberry lemonade which was delicious! Please note that this location is BYOB. The other one serves alcohol on site.

Prior to the meal arriving you will get this cutest loaf of bread in a flower pot. We didn’t know the bread was baked in the pot! It was the cutest thing lol. And delicious!!! The tasty butter of the day was lemon and thyme.

We chatted, caught up, laughed, and they gave me gifts. I got a Selena shirt, a dress, wall decor, a keep your water cool bottle (which is perfect because, I always have water with me), and the cutest treat filled piñata that I named Benito:

After we ate we decided to walk around. First stop was inside of the shop they have. If you go, be ready because it’s beautiful! Don’t rush as every corner has something new, and photo ops are endless! The store smells great! The aesthetic matches 100%. It has a nice calm vibe to it. And also learned that they offer workshops for children and adults.

Let’s take a look around the store:

This was the scent that welcomed us. Linnea candles in Stone Moss. I purchased one. Lit it last night and wow. Had my living room smelling wonderful! The pumpkins you see are also candles!

And of course, we had to go out to the outdoor space and take pictures!

It was a beautiful day, in great company. We all agreed that it felt like we weren’t in PA while we were there. We were in our own little world. I can’t wait to go back during a different time of the year. Specially during the Holidays! Imagine the decor and the yummy food choices, yum! I never look forward to the Holidays lol so this is major!

Happy early 36TH birthday to me! May this year be filled with prosperity, adventures, laughter, great health, good food, great company, memories and love! Lots of love!
