This last Sunday I woke up and wanted to head out of the house for some air. Saturday was the first day I’d gone out out the house and that was to the gym and to visit family. The other times I stepped out was just to walk the dog if I’m honest.

I got up. Styled my curly hair (second day curls and they were on point! I’m contemplating sharing my easy and quick hair care and wash day routine.)

I knew I was hungry so that would be my first stop. I went back to The Farmhouse Kitchen and sat down for my meal.

I was craving their root veggie wrap. It comes with onions, spinach, roasted beets, sweet potatoes and a sauce. I had their blueberry smoothie to drink. It was delicious! I was stuffed. Couldn’t even enjoy the toasted sourdough bread with their jam. There was no room lol!

See? I was one happy camper lol. A full Cin is a happy one hahaha.

After the restaurant I made a quick stop at Target and got some silk scrunchi hair ties. They’re my go to when I go away. I can put my hair up with some added leave in conditioner and get into the water and not worry about it getting tangled much. I’m proud of the self control that I had and left right after getting the thing I went for. Target is a danger zone for me haha.

I left Target I came home and my son had finished his first part of his cell model science project with his dad. They worked on the plant cell model and we worked on the animal cell model together. We do great teamwork when it comes to him. He’s always first. And without getting too personal I will say that I appreciate the dynamic that we’ve been able to establish and maintain.

After we completed the project (he got an 82% due to him handing it in late, but he now understands the importance of completing his assignments on time) I went to the gym and got a work out in. I went to the gym on Monday as well. I didn’t go to the gym on Tuesday because I had my nail appointment, but I’ll be back tonight.

I went with mermaid vibes. Perfect for the beach. And other than needing to pack my toiletries, I am ready for my trip. And looking forward to being away for a few days. I don’t celebrate the Holidays so I try to do something different like, going away.

On Sept 14th my girls Annie, Ashley and myself kept our reservations at Sojo Spa in New Jersey. We left early that Saturday around 8:30 AM on the dot. I was the last to be picked up. Ash was shotgun and Annie held it down driving both ways. I captured a decent amount of videos. —-Listen, my goal is to find a decent video editing program and invest in it. I don’t like the Windows options much. I use my cell to edit anything you see that’s recent on my YouTube. It takes time! But I’ll do it because these videos are too funny to not be shared! Of course I’ll only share the pre approved ones, haha.

SOJO SPA CLUB

The spa is quite the experience! Check out their website https://sojospaclub.com . I don’t want to ruin it for you with the extra details etc. But it’s basically a huge bathhouse with many different spa service options that you can purchase. I didn’t purchase a single thing this time around. But when I return I’ll be sure to get a massage or something fancy. I will have an idea of how much time Id get to play with etc and when to book the service. But to give you an idea of how long you might need, without any add ons like a massage or salt scrub we were there for 6 hours or so. I’d recommend taking a water proof bag, or phone holder, and one of those reusable water bottles. They have free room temp water stations throughout and for purchase. And you will be barefoot the entire time. It’s not as gross as it sounds. It’s a very clean establishment. This was Annie’s second time visiting the spa. She had gone during the Winter with her Husband. Ash and I were first timers!

There won’t be any pictures during the time inside of the spa. I was VERY in the moment and although I did have a camera case it was just a lot. And it felt like an invasion of the other people’s privacy.

They have a rooftop “garden” where you can lay out and tan. Either on the available lawn chairs or you can use your towel (they’re provided throughout the spa) and lay out on the faux grass. The view is amazing.

And of course we got hongry! I got the Veggie burger, and the Ultimate Warrior smoothie. I was full for hours after this. No complaints. It was delicious.

After the spa we drove to the Hotel and checked in. We had late dinner reservations later on that night. And it was fine because like I said earlier, we were full from our meals for quite some time. We got ready and headed out…

MAMAJUANA CAFE

The vibes were great. We’re from out of town so Idk if this place is hip or not hahaha. But we had a great time! Our waiters were great, sweet, and the fact that the Virgos were out to celebrate their birthdays was awesome! I kid you not, there must’ve been a dozen birthdays celebrated that night. They’d sing their happy birthday song every five minutes and after a few drinks it was the joke amongst many of us in the room. Oh! And the drinks and food were good too. It was a time!

Just wanted to take a moment to admire my natural yet cute look for the night. That is all.

The following day we woke up showered and got ready to head out. I picked this place. No one had hope in it other than me lol. Well let me tell you, we were all sooooo happy that we went. Everything was delicious. If you’re ever in the area stop by! The service was nice too. They looked out for us when we asked to be sat outside. Told us it wasn’t a good idea because people do burn. A few minutes out there we quickly agreed.

The girls opted for Lobster Bisque and shared a chicken sandwich with fried calamari. They raved.

And here I am about to tear into my Falafel Hummus Wrap. Yo…. Chef’s kiss! I’m craving it as I type.

After brunch we decided we wanted dessert. So I did my thing and found this cute small business bakery. I got two Vegan Lava Cakes. Annie got tres lèches and I think Ashley got the same.

Overall it was a great weekend! We all needed it and were on a high for a few days after! Every time I need a pick me up I just playback a video from that weekend and I find myself laughing again.
