7 YEARS…

The morning of December 29th 2017 is the day that everything changed. The day my mother known to many as Gladys transitioned. I miss you every single day.

I will love you forever mamí.

My mom and I still communicate. That’s how I know how proud of me she is. The way she gently and sometimes fiercely nudges me. She had to check me and remind me that I am “a sweetheart”.

When she passed away I had to learn to communicate with her differently. The smells that are unexplained, things moving, hearing her favorite songs that haven’t been on the radio in years come on. Seeing her favorite colors, doves! Oh the doves always remind me of her. And more. I’ve gotten hugs from her and have felt her touch. And yet… I still feel the void. Thank you for everything my love.

Yours,

Cin.

96| HIDDEN GEMS

Hi! This past weekend was dedicated to running some errands on Saturday. I have some things to take care of health wise and it’s been what’s been taking up most of my available time these days. It was overall spent relaxing and resting. I’m cleared to go back to normal routines and that means going back to my gym routine.

Other than that, I’ve been laying low. I’ve been reading, journaling, getting into my creative bag lol and just going with the flow of life. Yes, still going through this shedding of old ways/things and embracing and getting to know the new.

Now on to the pictures!

  1. “Lack of commitment to self improvement is unattractive.” I resonate with this sweater. Picture I captured on the TSA line after coming back from DR. Funny story the girl wearing the sweater was sitting with her mom and sister. I overheard her tell her sister “You hate a lot of people. That’s not good. You shouldn’t.” And her mom chimed in “Yea. You don’t have any hate in your heart for anyone. Except for Mrs. insert last name here.” I don’t remember the last name lol but wouldn’t share it here. The daughters laugh. The one wearing the sweater then adds… “We should probably refrain from saying last names while on a plane.” Mom says “Who would even know her?” That’s when I couldn’t help myself and said “Well… actually…” and we all started to laugh. I was standing next to their seats while waiting for mine.

  2. Got this set for my son. It’ll be helpful to use for his homework and assignments. I also find myself reaching for them.

  3. A* had his first Orchestra concert of the school year a few nights ago. They all did very well! Proud mom!

  4. Gas pumping. 333.

  5. New swimsuit arrived. Love the colors. Anything different is my thing.

  6. New nail designs.

  7. Enjoying a delicious cake.

  8. Worked on site the other day and that was my view during lunch time.

  9. Co workers were very festive that day.

It’s been cold, with a few snow falls as well. We currently have about an inch or two on the ground. A few family members and friends birthdays as well this month. If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you and your loved ones have a great day.

Love, light—-the shadow too, Cin
